| Vermin Control
Country Watch officers and rural beat officers carry out patrols in the rural areas to try to combat poaching activity particularly at this time of year. On occasions, incidents of reported poaching turn out to be legitimate vermin control.
So this is a polite request: If you are involved in vermin control, please could you notify the Police control room when you are going out to do this. It is a simple procedure, you can either call in on 101 or E-mail the details to: fcr.operational@hampshire.pnn.police.uk giving the following information: Name address and contact number of the person undertaking the vermin control Landowners name and contact number giving you permission to shoot The location where you will be shooting The type of weapon you will be using and your vehicle details.
This will enable the Police to be aware of who should and should not be in the area and save police resources from being deployed needlessly and help prioritise their deployment.
Many thanks. |
