| Dear Ian, Pat and other helpers, I would like to on behalf of the participants, other helpers and organisers of the Clarendon event give a big thanks to you, your friends and colleagues for doing such a great job in looking after the drink station in Kings' Somborne on this year's Clarendon Marathon. This maybe more so in view of the poor weather conditions which we had to endure on the day. It was great to have had your help and your support which was very much appreciated. Hopefully this year there were no funny neighbours trying to cause problems. As per previous years donations are being made from the proceeds to various charities in acknowledgement for peoples help Namely the Rotary Club of Winchester, Macmillan Cancer Relief, Wessex Cancer Trust, NSPCC, Mencap, Cystic Fibrosis (HMF), Fire Services Charity , Raynet,WILSA, St John Ambulance, Loving Care, Winterslow Charity and many others. Donations are being made from the proceeds of the event i.e. from the registration fees I will therefore as usual I will be sending a donation to your BOAZ charity too . There were in excess of 1400 entries over the three events. Many of those who took part said how much they enjoyed the day please see the discussion of the race on the Runner's World where there seems to be lots of positive response about the event with many people both on the website and in email form saying how much they enjoyed the event and to pass on their thanks to all the helpers. I therefore hope very much that your team will be able to help again next year on what is hoped to be the 2nd October 2011. Please can you confirm if you think you can again be able to assist at your earliest convenince. Please note that a cheque will be made payable to the BOAZ charity (as agreed). Once again a BIG THANKS TO YOU ALL. PS I hope you Ian and Bob both enjoyed the event it was great to see you you both there. Best wishes, Paul Elderkin 01962 622465
