Members of the King's Somborne WI met on Wednesday, 13th May, 2026 in the village hall for their annual meeting. Members were pleased to hear from the Treasurer, Tina Pepper, that the accounts were healthy and Linda Aucock, Secretary was able to report on all the activities that the members had been involved in throughout the year. If an event took place in the village there was a good chance that a member of King's Somborne WI would be involved!
Also discussed were the two resolutions:
- Accessible public toilet facilities to promote dignity, health, and social inclusion
- Action on women's homelessness
Following discussion the votes of the members would be presented at the annual meeting next month by a representative of the Somborne Sisterhood WI.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, 10th June in the village hall, from 7.30 p.m. Nick Willoughby will give a talk entitled "A Life of Fish and Ships" tales of aid work in fisheries. Life in coastal communities in the tropics. Visitors are always welcome and we do not charge.
