PRAYER LIST for the week beginning 29th September
Michaelmas and a prayer to use and reflect on. “O God of Glory, the earth is bathed in your presence. Creation is luminous with your love. All things are your messengers. Unveil our senses to perceive you, tune our spiritual ears, give us eyes of the soul. Bring us to touch the skirts of wonder and to be witnesses of holiness.”
Please pray, at this special time of year, for the care of guardian angels to protect our Church, our families and our neighbours and friends. Pray for God’s blessings to abound amongst us.
Please pray for our special harvest celebrations over the next few weeks. Pray for Little Somborne this Sunday, for our Harvest Supper and festival here next weekend, and for the service at Ashley on 13th October. Pray for the work of the Beacon in Winchester, where we send our harvest gifts, and for the people that they serve. Pray for all who are homeless or who have lost their way in life.
Please pray for peace in our world, and especially for an end to the conflicts in Israel and in the Ukraine and Russia. Pray for governments seeking to bring peace and for all organisations providing help to those suffering in those war torn areas.
Please pray for all who are sick or in need, especially those known to us. Pray that we will be enabled to offer gentle support, sensitive encouragement, and strength and support to meet those needs. Pray that God’s gracious salvation will reach them.
Please pray that we will find strength together as the body of Christ, and that His Spirit will be active in us each day.
