PARISH PLAN UPDATE
We hope by now that most people in the parish will be aware that a parish plan is being put together this year.
• We have been regularly updating you in the pages of the gauntlet reporting your ideas which we hope have been both thought provoking and interesting.
• We sought your first thoughts and opinions at the church fete and the Horticultural show.
• We entered a float in the carnival which we hope you saw and appreciated.
Our efforts have now moved up a gear in the quest for your views!
So what are we now doing now?
• SCHOOL PROJECT:
In order to involve as many as possible, we recently did a presentation to the whole of the village school and have left them to come up with their ideas of what they like or would like to see changed in the village. They were full of enthusiasm for the project and we hope to have a school top ten issues which the school council will be bringing to our meeting in November.
• If your child is at the school please encourage them to come forward with ideas.
• THE QUESTIONAIRE
We are currently preparing a detailed questionnaire which will be sent out to all 640 households in the village. The questionnaire has been drafted pulling together ideas given by you at the various events together with some we have got from other parishes and sources. It covers all the issues you raised and more!
To get the most comprehensive response, the Parish Plan Steering Group feels it would be best if the questionnaire were hand delivered and collected from each household. No mean feat you will agree!
We intend distributing the questionnaire in the Autumn but to do this ……….We need your help!
So if you live in Little Somborne, Up Somborne, Ashley, Horsebridge, Eldon road, Nutchers Drove, Muss Lane, Romsey Road…. Or anywhere within the village and would be prepared to deliver about 10 questionnaires and pick them up again we would be most grateful.
