PRAYER LIST for week beginning 25th July.
This week as we reflect on God’s faithfulness and His care for us in the small things of life, we rejoice in the permission to worship more freely. Isaiah says, “For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall beak forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands”.
Please pray with thankfulness for all that God has done for us and continues to do each day. Be glad that whatever we may be facing and whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, He is always walking beside us even when we don’t realise he is there. Pray that we will be helped to share that love with others every day.
Please pray for our church here, it’s members and its mission. Pray for our diocese in this time of change and crisis, for our bishops and leaders and for all who struggling to come to terms with events beyond their control. Pray for God’s guidance for us all as we seek a way forward in sharing Christ’s love and His gospel with others. Pray for harmony and good fellowship in our village as we prepare for and plan forthcoming events. Pray especially for our more senior members this week as Sunday is the first ever Day for Grandparents and the Elderly!
Please pray for those in our world who are hungry and homeless. Pray that we will be generous in giving to the agencies trying to alleviate their suffering. Pray for the sick, that Our Lord will ease their pain and be present with them through the support of friends and skilled workers. Pray that in offering our prayers, we will give our lives afresh to showing the love that Christ wants to offer to all.
