I was thrilled today to be told that The Sombornes Online website has made it to the final of the HantsWeb Awards 2007. There were 73 sites nominated in our category of "Best Local Area Website", from that original list we made it through to the shortlist of 15 and are now down to the final 3 ! The winner will be announced on the 18th September at the awards ceremony in Basinstoke. You can read more about the HantsWeb Awards by clicking here. Our website is quite different to most other community sites. The content of our site is added by the community itself, not by me, so thanks for getting our site noticed by the judges must once again go to our regular contributors to the site. We have lots of room for more local organisations to have a presence on the site so please get in touch if you would like your organisation added. Fingers crossed for the 18th September! Tim Long |
