The Somborne Singers meet most Tuesdays at 7.45 in the Parish Church to sing a variety of songs in four part harmony. We usually perform a few times a year for church services and occasionally at weddings. Although we work towards these performances, most of our practices are informal and fun. We have a lot of music to choose from, ranging from show songs to religious anthems and we are currently singing a variety of secular songs in preparation for the Village Hall variety show in July. We have been fortunate in finding a new leader after the retirement of our founder Bill Sutton. Katherine Edmonds of Middlemarsh has a great deal of musical experience and expertise and has been a welcome addition to our choir to conduct, accompany and train us. We are always welcoming to new members. There are no auditions and people of all levels of ability who are interested in singing should feel free to come along on a Tuesday or contact someone in the choir for more details.
