Talk on the Crown Inn by Gordon Pearson.
On 18th March 2010, Gordon Pearson gave an excellent talk at the Village Hall on the Crown Inn in which he outlined both the history of the building and the history of those who had lived in the building. There certainly were some colourful characters and Gordon entertained all present with detailed information from the careful research he had done on the subject over many years.
During the course of the evening there was a raffle and light refreshments were served including some of the alcoholic variety!
The event was well attended with 115 tickets being sold in advance and a surplus of over £600 was made for the Village Hall Development Fund.
Clay Pigeon Shoot
The King's Somborne Village Hall played host to the Test Valley Charity Clay Pigeon shoot on 14 May 2010
All money raised on behalf of the Village Hall is being used by our Development Subcommittee to redevelop the hall.
