Bookings

To book the hall, please make contact with our Booking Secretary on by email to vhbookings@thesombornes.org.uk or by phone to Val Chapman on 01794 388009

We need to know the following:

	Date of hire, Start and End times
	Room required (Main Hall, Committee Room, Pavilion)
	Your name, address (include postcode) and telephone number, also your email address if you are on email.

We will contact you by return. A booking confirmation will be sent to you, by email if possible.

The Hall does not have its own alcohol licence. If you intend to sell alcohol at your function, or provide alcohol as an inducement (ie as part of the entrance price), you must apply to Test Valley Borough Council for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) at least 10 working days before your event. Details can be found on the TVBC website here. A TEN application can be downloaded from here (.pdf document).

If you do intend to apply for a TEN, please first advise the booking secretary. The Village Hall is only entitled to 12 TENs per calendar year, and hence needs to record all requests.

Booking Rates until 31 July 2012 are as follows:

Main Hall	£10/hour on Saturdays, £8/hour at all other times
Jubilee Room	£7/hour at all times (available from June 2012)
Committee Room	£6/hour at all times
Pavilion	£6/hour at all times

From 1st August 2012, Main Hall rates will be increased to £11/hour (Saturdays) and £9/hour at other times. Other rates remain the same. The whole hall (Main + Jubilee + Committee) may be booked for £20/hour on Saturdays, and £17/hour at other times.
